DICE – November 2023 served as a pivotal gathering for the local tech community, providing a platform for attendees to forge connections, exchange insights, and explore emerging trends and opportunities. The event aimed to inspire collective action and foster collaboration within the industry. Dr. Juliet Ehimuan, the founder of Beyond Limits and the driving force behind DICE, set the tone with an opening address. She highlighted Beyond Limits Africa’s aspirations through DICE and emphasized the pivotal role of partnerships in cultivating meaningful connections.

The conference featured three noteworthy panel discussions. 

The creative panel showcased prominent figures in the creative and content creation space, including Broda Shaggi, Tomike Adeoye, and Miss Techy. Solafunmi Sosanya, the Managing Director of Circo Africa, moderated this session. 

The startup panel, moderated by Oyin Solebo, Managing Director of Arm Labs Techstars Lagos Accelerator, included influential figures like Iyin Aboyeji, Solape Akinpelu, and Damilola Olokesusi, discussing key aspects of Africa’s tech industry. 

The tech ecosystem panel, moderated by Juliet Ehimuan, brought together established players such as Amal Hassan Wada, Funke Opeke, and Kolawole Aina, offering insights into the broader tech landscape and its future trajectory.

DICE featured engaging discussions, allowing direct interaction between the audience and panelists for valuable insights. Alongside compelling performances and gamified networking, attendees had the chance to forge connections, with one winning a Radisson Blu stay. The event drew leaders from Africa’s creative, tech, and business sectors, including Google, the United States Department of State, Zenith Bank, MTN, UNDP, and more. Attendees represented a diverse mix, including policymakers, NGOs, investors, innovators, creatives, and media/press, solidifying DICE as a key gathering in Africa’s professional landscape.
